The Planning Board is composed of five members serving staggered three-year terms; the Planning Board is responsible for preparing, extending, and perfecting a master plan of the Town. Granted control of the subdivision of land, the Board hears proposals and recommends zoning bylaws for Town Meeting. With the aid of a hired consultant, the board adopts and alters the rules and regulations for development in the Town. The Planning Board may oversee the preparation of an official Town map.
